Cape Fear Running Club Run: Starting in January, join us at Campbell University this winter every Monday at 6PM. All paces are welcome. There will be 1 to 5 mile options available. After the time change in March, we will begin meeting at Shriner Park in Lillington.

Saturday Morning Runs: Join us at the Dunn-Erwin Rail Trail at 8AM on Saturdays for some morning miles. All paces welcome!

  • Meet in the football field parking lot

All paces are welcome to come and run/walk. We will meet rain or shine!
There will be routes ranging from 1 mile to 5 miles, so come on out and find the group that best fits your goal for the day.

  • Meet at the Erwin end of the Dunn-Erwin rail trail. The parking lot is across the street from Burney’s Sweets and More.

Get your morning miles in at the Dunn-Erwin Rail Trail! All runners/walkers welcome!
This 5-mile crushed gravel trail is great for however far (or short) you want to go!

A FEW NOTES ABOUT RUN CLUB:

The Cape Fear Running Club is what you make of it! Whether you’re here every week to check in, track your participation, and work towards your running goals, or you drop by whenever you can to enjoy a friendly group for running, walking, and maybe a post-run coffee, we’re happy to have you.

  • All are welcome. Runners, walkers, and well-behaved furry friends (on a leash and comfortable with crowds) are all free to join!

  • Safety first. It’s your responsibility to stay aware and be cautious. See and be seen. Obey pedestrian laws. Watch out for hazards like cars, cyclists, uneven pavement, potholes, curbs, speed bumps, fire hydrants, electric scooters, flying squirrels, and more. Run against traffic and avoid jaywalking—no one wants a car encounter ruining the fun. The Cape Fear Running Club is not liable for your safety or actions, so please be mindful and look out for yourself and others.

  • Have fun! At it’s heart, this is a social group built around a shared love of running and local community. Connect with someone new each week and discover what else you have in common. Let’s make every run a great one!
